Brilliant and insightful article on NLC/TUC role in the Occupy Nigeria Protest - Sahara Reporters.

It was a thought-provoking and insightful article to read. Sadly there'll always be traitors and betrayers in the course of any struggle. This has always been the case if you look back to history.
ReplyDeleteThe good news is that there is a new awakening amongst some Nigerians and one can take that away. They may be in the minority but slowly and surely we will get there.
True about traitors, Naija4life. Just that this was rather costly for the Occupy Nigeria Movement. But like you said, we will get there eventually.
Deletei never trusted the NLC from day one, especially since Adams Oshiomole had gone native and was supporting the fuel subsidy,i really wanted to believe that maybe they were threatened by the government or something, but this piece has finally put that to rest for me, but is the Nigeria government that crafty, i thought they were morons!
ReplyDeleteJemima, seems they are crafty in bits that threaten their interests.
DeleteI know we want to eschew leaders or maybe its the trust issue, but the Occupy movemnt needs credible representatives...pls not Sowore :)
ReplyDeleteIf we have one, then NLC cannot/will not be allowed to represent our own voices.
Sista, hopefully the NLC/TUC know they've burned their bridges on this one as far as the Occupy Nigeria movement is concerned. Let's also hope forerunners of the movement would not let them back in.
