Occupy Nigeria: Hear the Voice of the Wailing Masses

Slight delay at start of video. Fab song by Aduke on protest: "Occupy Nigeria"
I am compiling a list of blogs on Occupy Nigeria and the subsidy removal protest. Soon, the list will be on the 'right hand' bar of this blog. Please leave a comment here or contact me if you want your blog added to the list.

  2. Great job, Adura. I feel slightly handicapped because I am not on ground but all I can do, I will do.

  6. She's beautiful. I love this song and video - really captures the protests over the last week (has it really only been a week since the strike began???? Wow)

  8. Miss.Fab: according to Wikipedia, "Occupy Nigeria" protest began on Monday 2nd January, so it is two weeks old tomorrow. I did my first protest post on 3rd January. I had no idea that Nigerians would be so passionate about the cause. The campaign continues.

@ilola: You're welcome dear and thank you too for adding your voice to the campaign.

  9. @Adura, great job you're doing and thanks for adding my blog on your list. I will continue to make my voice heard until we achieve the Nigeria of our dreams. Like I always say, doing nothing is no longer an option, otherwise what do I tell my children when they grow up?

The struggle for a better Nigeria has only just begun.

  10. Naija4Life: Thanks, Bro. We're all in this together. Well done on your good work too. Like you said, doing nothing is no longer an option. We must fight for a better future for Nigeria. The struggle is definitely worth it.

  11. You're right... I knew it felt longer than a week, but for some reason all I could remember was the announcement about the strike starting on Jan. 9. Unless I imagined that...

    1. I think that's the NLC strike, Miss Fab.
"Occupy Nigeria" started their campaign on January 2nd. I was initially confused too but they are two separate campaigns. The later campaign of 9/1 is that of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC). "Occupy Nigeria" which began its protest on 2/1 is led by Pastor Tunde Bakare of the Save Nigeria Group (SNG).
